The Amana Collection was established in 2011 with the aim of supporting photographers both now and in the future. The collection is home to many works by leading Japanese contemporary art photographers and these are exhibited both in Japan and internationally, alongside programs of seminars and other events. This exhibition will promote the collection’s second mission, which is to “impart new value to Japanese photography.” Approximately 40 works by 13 different artists from the collection will be presented here in an exhibition curated by Ivan Vartanian.
