Dance Archive Project has set out to transmit contemporary dance culture to future generations through a series of experiments and conversations with audiences about the mission and potential of dance archives. Some 600 unpublished photos of Tatsumi Hijikata, Kazuo Ohno and Yoshito Ohno, taken by William Klein in 1961 on the streets of Tokyo, will be exhibited for the first time in the form of a movie, also making use of virtual reality technology. 3D archival footage of Yoshito Ohno’s movements will be presented in a virtual reality format. You can also see a collaboration with Anohni, a lifelong aficionado of Kazuo Ohno and Yoshito Ohno.
