The Paranormal

“The Paranormal” is a team of four artists, who normally work in the field of animation, that produces video works based primarily on live action. Their aim is to express hidden feelings and abilities by denying themselves the use of animation - their most accomplished art form. This exhibition will focus on the screening of the video work “After effects,” with works produced by the characters in the video, and the props and objects that appear in the video, also on display and available for purchase.

This work is not exactly art, nor entertainment. If anything, it is a promotional video for humans. With a fictional setting and story, but all performers, i.e. illustrators, contemporary artists, musicians, introducing their actual activities, it is essentially a documentary pretending to be fiction.

A introduction to the cast of “After Effect” will be followed by a discussion of the work and how it was produced, ending with a live performance by Nukeme Band.
