To Bruno Munari, the Italian artist featured in a Japan-wide touring exhibition, books were one of the highest forms of art. The family-run press Corraini has been instrumental in realizing Munari’s cutting-edge designs in book form. In Japan, Hideyuki Endo’s cottage publishing house Transview takes a similarly innovative approach. Endo will speak with Masayo Abe, who has worked as a translator and designer for the Japanese editions of Munari’s Corraini books, about bringing Munari’s last and largest publication to Japanese book stores. A surprise guest is scheduled to join from Europe via Skype. (In Japanese. Please see the official website for details).
