Omotesando Rocket will present “Symbiotic Glitter” by Kaoru Sakurai, his recent work focusing on the interrelated topics of human identity and values of contemporary society. This exhibition showcases ambrotype photographs of found natural objects from artist’s everyday life such as plants, minerals, etc. An ambrotype is developed on a glass plate through a process called the ‘collodion process’ and was a popular form of photography from mid to late 19th century after the Bakumatsu period in Japan.
