Atsushi Kaneko
Since his debut, Kaneko has published a number of manga titles, including “BAMBi”, “Soil”, “Wet Moon”, and “Deathco”. He is also active as an illustrator. His finely rendered drawings continue to captivate enthusiastic fans both domestic and international with a graphical style based on dynamic compositions in which violence and elegance coexist with experimental but also entertaining and absurd storytelling that reveals truth. In this exhibition, a broad range of his works, from original drawings of his debut work to new works specifically created for the exhibition, are presented. A display providing an overview of Kaneko’s past works, including analog and digital productions, offers a great introduction to his unique world-view. Some works that are part of exhibitions are available for sale, and there will also be original exhibition goods and homage works by a doll artist. A talk event is also planned during the exhibition period.
