It has been 50 years since Tatsumi Hijikata performed “Rebellion of the Body” at Nippon Seinenkan. This exhibition spotlights his seminal Butoh solo show with documentation of it and Hijikata’s relationship with art and literary figures such as Yukio Mishima and Genpei Akasegawa. Some of the displays will be available for purchase.
