Artists

Munenori Makino
Munenori Makino, an admirer of masters like Hokusai and Hiroshige since his high school days, creates woodblock prints using the wood of wild cherry trees a century or more old, often applying colors 30–45 times per print. He is said to be the only artist in the woodblock print world to do the three roles of designing, carving, and coloring himself.
