Author Tetsuya Matsushita discusses his new book “Henry Fuseli’s Approach to Painting: Innovation of Narrative and Character Expression” together with art historian Hisako Koike in this talk event moderated by young art critic gnck. They will discuss Fuseli, whose work appeared in the “Fear in Painting” exhibition held last year, from the perspective of art history as well as that of character expression. While the artist was known best for his fantastical paintings, he was a mainstream Royal Academician and educator associated with Romanticism movement in Britain.
