Artists

Rui Mizuki
Rui Mizuki’s art has been influenced by his life as a skateboarder who feels the city with his body. Mizuki’s work is made of skateboards covered with grip tape and painted with road paint, bent aluminum boards imprinted with photos, smashed sneaker boxes decorated with sketches in permanent marker, etc. The title for this exhibition, featuring all new work, means to “come east” and is derived from Mizuki coming from Kyoto, the west, and bringing his work to Tokyo, the east.
