Riko Kinoshita’s sculptural installations made with common materials seem to draw pictures with points and lines arranged within space. The artist refers to her work as “drawing,” describing it as “a manifestation of images received from the world, or “unpredictable, playful action.” This solo show of works Kinoshita refers to as “trap-like objects” is “an attempt to know the unknown.” New works made with aluminum tape and paper are presented in dialogue with the unique space of Kodama Gallery.
