Ai mi Tagai

Tokyo University of the Arts, Ueno Campus
Finished
Organized to mark the fifth year of the London/Tokyo Y-AIR Exchange Programme (LTYE) since its launch in 2015, the Ai mi Tagai exhibition and forum will present the work of artists who were previous participants, in addition to the work of professors who are acting advisors for the program. Ai mi Tagai will be held in Tokyo in 2019, and in London in 2020.

Ai mi Tagai, meaning “mutual empathy” (namely to understand the situation of another in similar circumstances and offer mutual support), was chosen as the title of this exhibition as it encapsulates the particular characteristic of the LTYE Programme, while also signifying what we the organizers consider to be the meaning of international exchange.
