The Japanese sculptor Kohei Nawa presented his large-scale installation “Throne” at the Louvre Pyramid in July, 2018. Ginza Tsutaya Books at Ginza Six now shows Nawa’s “Throne – Louvre Pyramid” with film footage of “Throne,” plus a new edition. This installation, which includes a floating sculpture made with the traditional Japanese technique of gold-leaf plating along with the latest 3D technology, considers the impact of political power and rights as computer and AI technologies make inroads in society. “Metamorphosis,” an art book of Nawa’s work, will be published to coincide with the exhibition.
