Ayano Yoshida comments: “It is said in Japan that spirits dwell in things used for a long time. The lingering tears and stains of furniture and other household items evoke the individuality and history of their owners.” Yoshida’s sculptural installations are made with notebooks, clothing, and other personal items from places where no one lives any longer.
