Post-War 75th Anniversary - Battle of Okinawa and News Reporters

Newspark - The Japan Newspaper Museum
Finished
During the Battle of Okinawa that started in late March 1945, reporters from the local newspaper “Okinawa Shimpo” and correspondents from the Asahi Shimbun and Mainichi Shimbun continued to report from the trenches. Through photographs and news articles of the time, this exhibition introduces the terrible scenes that these journalists experienced firsthand.
