Megumi Shinozaki
Emi Shinozaki is the leader of the creative team “Edenworks”, which has been proposing a variety of ideas using flowers, and she herself is a flower creator who has been presenting her work both in Japan and abroad. Her pursuit of the potential of flowers and their possibilities has led her to work in a wide range of fields, including window and store displays, brand collaborations, magazines, advertisements, and artists’ CD jackets.

The installation work ‘Mericlone’ presented in this exhibition is also the result of her philosophy of creating a beautiful and powerful worldview. The work consists of the process from the growth of starthistle flowers that multiply from the spot to become dried flowers, and the final distribution of them as fragments to visitors. This is a space with a gentle, live feel that is unique to flowers that change with time. Viewers will be able to discover the beauty of the work as they take it in.

Bright and powerful flowers are quietly contained within the flat concrete space StandBy. Please come to the installation space to experience the positive sensation glimpsed through the warmth of life and the pure originality of the artist.
