Cherry Blossom Designs

National Museum of Japanese History

Each spring, more than 1,000 cherry trees of 50 varieties bloom at Sakura Joshi Park, where the National Museum of Japanese History is located. This exhibition of artworks and archival materials featuring cherry blossoms includes fashion and crafts with cherry blossom designs and accounts of blossom-viewing spots popular during the Edo period.
