Satoshi Okano
As a result of considering the expression of “light” in painting, Satoshi Okano aims to create paintings that look like videos by taking the canvas as a monitor. The motifs of his work are extracted from the Internet, such as a scene from an old anime, and by painting them with a sense of distance as events outside the artist’s personal consciousness, Okano explores the screen/painting as a material.
