‘Paludarium’ is a series of works that is deeply imbued with the spirit of the AMKK collective. The installation derives its name and design from the ‘Paludarium’; a structure that protects plants from the elements and promotes their growth, and the cultivation of which was a popular pastime amongst British aristocrats in the 19th Century. This installation provides a new interpretation of the Paludarium, bringing it up to date with contemporary culture and fusing it with modern technology and a sense of rebellion.
