The National Film Archive of Japan digs deep into its vault of some 80,000 films to present a specially selected lineup of classic through contemporary works including dramas, documentaries, animations, and experimental films ranging from masterpieces to little-known movies. The autumn program of screenings on Friday, Saturdays, and Sundays features films by Japanese directors including Yasujiro Ozu, Ko Nakahira, Kinuyo Tanaka, and Mikio Naruse.
