Daisuke Yokota
Daisuke Yokota is a photographer who won the 45th Ihei Kimura Photography Award last year, which is known as the Akutagawa Prize in the world of photography. In 2014, he held a solo exhibition “Site/Cloud” at the Foam Museum, and his activities have been attracting much attention both in Japan and abroad as a leader in contemporary art photography.
Yokota’s work is based on the process of photography, such as the use of scanning, digital processing, and hot water development, and he continues to challenge the medium of photography and its expression.
In this exhibition, titled ‘Sludge,’ Yokota will present new work in the lineage of his representative work, ‘Color Photographs’.
