Artists

Olta
In a world that is always connected, Olta is a group of artists who have turned their gaze to the cracks. In contrast to the “brightness” of the world, which moves forward by forgetting and accelerates through disconnection, Olta has been picking up the distant “shadows” of society and history and guiding us through the “shadows” by creating signposts to encounter the voices, traces, and events of the past.

Last year, Olta was unable to complete his planned residency due to COVID-19, so he worked on the history and festivals related to the region while communicating with people in Hitachi, Ibaraki Prefecture by letter, despite the distance, and completed his work in the form of a video game. In the first part of the performance, the audience will be able to download the game and experience it on their own PCs. The second part, a playing installation, will be presented at venues in Kobe and Tokyo as well as live online.

The number of seats in the venue will be limited so that the audience can enjoy the unique performance while ensuring safety to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
