This is an exhibition of oil paintings by students of Musashino Art University’s Department of Creative Innovation. The theme and motifs are decided each time, and the students paint in a freewheeling style using common materials. As a newly established department of the university, it is a challenge to see how much they can stick to the act of “painting” while not aiming at painting or creating things themselves. These works are filled with an obsession for color and thickness.
