Yoshihiro Kikuchi
Yoshihiro Kikuchi (b. 1980) is a Sendai-based mixed-media artist whose works encompass drawing, collage, painting, printing, sculpture, video, installation, and photography. His previous works have dealt with themes of local history and the persecution of the Emishi people. In this exhibition, Kikuchi uses vaccines and viruses as metaphors for an artist’s exclusion from the widely accepted rules of society.
