Illustrator Hirochika Machida focuses on paintings and drawings in this show. The works are inspired by Machida’s move to Izu at the end of last year. He enjoys painting in the southernly winds on weekends.

Gallery space John opened in July 2018. Located in a residential area of Zaimokuza, Kamakura, the gallery offers a variety of works from photography exhibitions, paintings, crafts such as ceramics and glassware, and popups of apparel and accessories, not bound by any genre. The attached café offers hand-drip coffee and freshly baked cakes. Many locals stop by, and the space is a place where time passes in a relaxed manner.
