Tokyo and my Daughter”, Takashi Homma’s photography book published by the Swiss independent publisher Nieves in 2006, has now been published in a complete edition after 15 years.

“Tokyo and my Daughter”, which Homma has been working on since 1999, is a project that documents the scenery of Tokyo and the growth of a young girl living there. In the early 21st century, Tokyo, its ever-changing landscape, and the growing distance between the girl and her “daughter,” are captured with a delicate eye, and this highly acclaimed masterpiece is now available in a complete edition with about 20 additional pages.

To commemorate the publication of the complete edition, an exhibition will be held simultaneously with Post in Ebisu under the themes of “Tokyo” and “my daughter”. At Utrecht, there will be an installation on the wall and a sale of a rare vintage collection of works, mainly featuring “Scenes of Tokyo” taken in 2020, during the state of emergency.

At Post, original prints of “Tokyo and My Daughter” will be exhibited and sold, and a slide installation will be held. In addition, both venues will be selling the complete edition of “Tokyo and my Daughter” (regular and special edition) and original posters.
