Jean Jullien
Nanzuka is hosting three exhibitions by the French artist Jean Jullien (b. 1983), who has created illustrations for clients such as the New York Times and Le Centre Pompidou and whose paintings have been exhibited around the world. “Pocket Parents” at Nanzuka 2G tells the story of family based on Jullien’s own experiences. The artist, a parent of two young children, uses manga to humorously depict themes of increased responsibility and growing older as a parent through the characters of miniature parents and their friends. Apparel by the fashion brand Fresh Service featuring Pocket Parents characters is available.
