Exhibition by Tomoko Konoike. As the title of this exhibition implies, this is the first in a series of exhibitions curated by the Gallery MoMo, where we explore the origin of Konoike’s work through the pieces founded in her studio. It’s been two years since we received drawings from Tomoko Konoike’s studio, and although they varied in date and style, we found drawings that revealed her beginning as an artist. Knowing the final result, we were able to rediscover her process of creating works through them. This exhibition aims to be a reproduction of the live atmosphere in which Konoike creates her works.
