Creative Reuse finds innovative new purposes for old and discarded items. This foundation advocated by Hiroko Otsuki since 2014 now presents cloth sculptures and participatory installations by Akiko Muto with the theme "Scenes Unfolding in Memory." Muto's work begins with conversations and research exploring memories specific to place. Here she focuses on the local Jindai Botanical Gardens and Chofu's abundance of trees, flowers, and greenery. Discarded film and music materials are transformed into a colorful new botanical garden full of Chofu memories. "Pieces Plants" created in a workshop by elementary school children are also exhibited.
