The word "ryuko" is a word that Yuta Narikiyo, one of the exhibitors in this exhibition, came up with by chance when he visited Akibatamabi. The word implies instantaneous inspiration, the touch of the voices and letters that make up all things, the mesh of relationships, and flowing things.
In this exhibition, five artists from different genres will present their work based on the word "ryuko".
Between the instantaneous frames, between the inverted and oozing body organs, between the perception of humans and animals, between the world before one's birth, between the voices one hears... Each artist brings with him the possibility of a unique, individual, and finite "connection". From the arrangement of the points and trajectories of these "connections," different views of the world, full of dissonance, are drawn.
The common denominator of these five artists may be that they are "half-wits" who have been wandering around in various fields - not necessarily in the field of art. It can be said that the core of the exhibition lies in the solitary and intellectual interest in the unknowability of these indivisible people. During the exhibition, there will be a radio broadcast that can only be heard in the vicinity of the venue. We recommend that you bring a small FM radio with you to the exhibition.
