Yamagata as a Sacred Place - Visiting the Mogami Sanjyusan Kannon

In Yamagata's Okitama, Mogami and Shonai regions there are sacred places dedicated to Sanjyusan Kannon respectively.
Out of these three, the earliest display of Buddhist image is the Mogami Sanjusan Kannon, set to be in 2022.
This exhibition will precede the event and will display mainly photographs of Yasuko Yamamoto, native to Oemachi, and paintings of the western-style painter Zenjiro Chikaoka, native to Shinjo.
