100 Little Doors to Peace: Messages from Cartoonists Around the World

Kyoto International Manga Museum
Finished
In consideration of current circumstances in Ukraine, the Kyoto International Manga Museum is holding an exhibition of single-panel cartoons with anti-war messages appealing to world peace. It showcases 100 works by cartoonists from Japan and abroad. The cartoons were collected in response to a call from Yukio Shinohara, president of the Japanese chapter of the Federation of Cartoonists Organizations and an emeritus professor at Kyoto Seika University, which he put forth with fellow FECO Japan member Yoshiaki Yokota.

The exhibition can be found in the space along the coin lockers at the entrance of the museum. By displaying one cartoon for each coin locker, one entire side of the entrance will become a gigantic anti-war cartoon wall, making the case for peace to everyone who visits the museum.
