Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building and CADAN (Contemporary Art Dealers Association of Japan) will start an art collaboration project, "New Essentials," on Tuesday, March 29, 2012.
Contemporary art, as the name "fine art" implies, is constantly discovering new aesthetic values. At the same time, it can also be read as a cultural background that strongly reflects the times in which it is created.
How do artists living in this era walk with the culture that exists today? What kind of essential elements do they produce? This project will deliver a new atmosphere and new essence of this era through contemporary art.
The SI (Store Identity) cubic exhibition space on four floors of Isetan Shinjuku men's building will feature special installations that match the floor themes.
