As part of the project "Marukoto" by Muneyoshi Kurozumi, an 8th generation Kurozumikyo priest, the contemporary art exhibition "Can Dialectics Break Bricks?" with curation by Kounosuke Kawakami will be held. Art has always had a social and political dimension as a response to the events of its time and has helped to change the world while stirring up controversy among people. This exhibition, which draws from René Viénet’s 1973 Situationalist film "Can Dialectics Break Bricks?" depicting class struggle through revolutionary agitation, presents a selection of works by Viénet and others who have influenced society through their humorous "Détournement" (rerouting) of radical ideas. The aims of the exhibition are to create a space to think about the power of art and its relationship to society, to look at how innovative art has opened up a pluralistic society, and to consider the society of the next generation.

Exhibited works include "Napalm" by Banksy, who since the 1990s has been creating works that are anti-capitalism and anti-authority, using stencil graffiti on the streets; "Political Comics" edited by Steph Davidson, a member of the Dutch counterculture group Provo, which provoked state violence in the mid-1960s with its non-violent actions; Marjane Satrapi’s autobiographical graphic novel "Persepolis" set in Iran of the 1970s and 1990s humorously depicting a young girl seeking her own way of life amidst revolution and commandments while existing at the mercy of history; and "This question may have something inconvenient, it's not possible to answer ... " by Takshi Ikeda of the band core of bells, which creates works that attempt to connect the experience of time contained in music and art with the real world.
