In her first solo show at Sony Park Mini, Chiaki Kadota will exhibit and sell 24 new art pieces based on the theme of the sea in Hayama, Kanagawa Prefecture, where she has her own studio. These works, which display Kadota’s unique approach and use of color, express skies and shimmering water surfaces separated by uneven horizons. The artist will also relocate a desk, chair, and art materials from her studio to Sony Park Mini, where she will work on site on and off throughout the exhibition. She may be looking for something new while receiving unusual inspiration in this underground parking lot in the middle of Ginza.
