Gallery A4 presents as exhibition of Chihiro Iwasaki and Makoto Okumura.
After experiencing war in her youth, Chihiro Iwasaki (1918-1974) conveyed the importance of daily life through her gentle paintings. Makoto Okumura, who was born 12 years after Chihiro, was a pioneering female architect who, together with her husband Akio Okumura, applied the discoveries of daily life to the design of houses. This exhibition introduces scenes from the work and lives of these two independent women, focusing on Kurohime Villa, where they met.
