Artists

Edo Oliver
Edo Oliver is a multidisciplinary artist working in photography, textiles, and performance art.
Born in Mexico and raised in Canada, Edo Oliver spent their childhood in Mexico absorbing make-up and fashion from films from around the world, and has a keen interest in culture, sexuality, and many other things with a sensitive and poetic sensibility.
Since the mid-2010s, they has been living in Japan, working as a creative director for fashion and advertising, and has also started their personal activities as a photographer and performance artist / drag queen “Andromeda”.
In this exhibition, “Dys・Morphia,” they will present new photographic works. The beauty peeking out from the darkness like the inside of a cave, and the danger of the incomplete contours living together, are like a scene from a movie, which can be seen as a return to the origin of Edo Oliver’s expressive activities. This will be Edo Oliver’s first solo exhibition.
