Since its establishment, the Taikichi Irie Memorial Museum of Photography Nara City has held exhibitions focusing on (1) the preservation and exhibition of Taikichi Irie's work, (2) work by artists with outstanding artistic activities, (3) work related to the Silk Road, Buddhism, and history, and (4) work by young photographers with great potential. In particular, the development of work by young photographers was added in accordance with Taikichi Irie's wishes before his death, and it can be said to be an expression of the museum's desire to be a place that nurtures and showcases young photographers.
The exhibition will be held under the title "Emerging Photographers" and is intended to provide an opportunity to introduce young photographers who have developed their own unique sensibilities in the currents of the times.
The exhibition will feature the works of female photographers Mayuko Ukawa “Wonderlaund", Yasuko Noguchi "Red Light Garden", and Yoko Ishii "Planet of the Deer", introducing the different perspectives and expressions of these three photographers.
