This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Otani Memorial Art Museum in Nishinomiya City and the 40th anniversary of the Kuboso Memorial Museum of Arts, Izumi. To commemorate this occasion, the two museums have realized an exchange exhibition of artwork from their collections.
The exhibition will introduce the diverse collections of the Kuboso Memorial Museum of Arts, Izumi under four themes. For the first time, the Kuboso Memorial Museum of Art, Izumi will exhibit contemporary artwork, including sculptures and three-dimensional works from the museum.
The Kuboso Memorial Museum of Arts, Izumi opened in 1982 as a result of a donation of artwork, land, buildings, and other items from Kuboso Corporation, one of the leading corporations in Senshu, Izumi. The museum houses a collection of approximately 11,000 works of antique art, including Japanese and Chinese paintings, calligraphy, and crafts.
