Kiyoyuki Kuwabara Accounting Gallery (KKAG) presents "Jazz Giants 1961-2013," an exhibition of Hozumi Nakahira's photographs from April 27 (Wed) to May 21 (Sat), 2022.
Nakahira, owner of the jazz cafe "DUG" in Shinjuku and a leading jazz photographer who has supported the Japanese jazz scene, photographed Art Blakey's first concert in Japan in 1961 and has since photographed Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Bill Evans, Thelonious Monk, Sadao Watanabe and many other legendary jazz musicians in Japan and abroad over the past 50 years.
This will be his first exhibition at KKAG in two years. Approximately 20 gelatin silver prints selected from his numerous works will be exhibited.
