Izumi Shiokawa
"Izumi Shiokawa Pen, Pencil, People, Animals and Plants" (published by GENKOSHA), is a collection of illustrator Izumi Shiokawa's works. This book, Shiokawa's first full-fledged collection of work, includes approximately 200 illustrations, rough sketches, and work exhibited at solo exhibitions, as well as 8 newly drawn works.
The book is a condensed collection of Shiokawa's illustrations, which are a realization of the "book like a white box," Shiokawa's initial image of the book, with a neat and refreshing appearance. Art direction and design were done by Yoko Inoue, and photography by Masahiro Sanbe.
At this exhibition, a special edition of the book with a tribute to the past works included in the book on the cover will be on display and for sale. This special book combines Izumi Shiokawa's past trajectory and the continuation of that trajectory, which she has already begun to follow. A limited number of special tote bags of Izumi Shiokawa and Utrecht will be on sale, and special stickers will be given to those who purchase related products.
