Ueda and Watanabe met at "Juku," a private school run by Jiro Takamatsu, and began living together while running a painting class in 1972. Beginning in January of the following year, they held "Tautology" approximately once a month at their home or at a gallery and continued until the eighth exhibition.

This exhibition by the Japanese Art Sound Archive will look back on this series through photographs, as well as show work reworked by Erize Hori (Erize Watanabe). In addition, the performance "Weaving Time", the last work in the series, will be performed again, and a new performance by Erize Hori will be presented.
