In this exhibition, Joji Nakamura will be showing new two-dimensional works as well as three-dimensional works. Nakamura has been working on this series of portrait-like paintings for a while now, and the relaxed curves and dull eyes of his subjects give an impression of individuality and diversity in their simple compositions. The objects made of clay, which he describes as "unfamiliar souvenirs of unknown origin that one encounters when visiting a rural area" have a cryptic, charming, and strange presence.
