Karu Shao
Karu Shao is a Tokyo/Shanghai-based contemporary artist with cross-culture background. By combining the simplest of colors and shapes to create unique graphic compositions through multiple layers, she expresses the illusion of three-dimensionality on in her two-dimensional works. By presenting abstract paintings as abstract, the goal is to encourage the audience to communicate with themselves when they are paying attention to the painting.
