Kazuo Hieda
A retrospective exhibition of Kazuho Hieda (1920-2021) will be held jointly by the Museum of Modern Art, Wakayama and the Tanabe City Museum of Art. Hieda is a Japanese-style painter from Tanabe City, Wakayama Prefecture, who passed away last March at the age of 100.

Through major works from each period, this exhibition will trace Hieda's entire career. Introducing manuscripts and sketchbooks from the artist's studio, it will also trace the creative process behind. In addition, it will be a chance to remember the artist who passed away.
