We are pleased to announce Kengo Nakamura's "garage Selection" at Un Petit Garage.
He uses mineral pigments on a washi paper, which makes his works technically nihonga, but with the use of motifs like speech balloons in comics, or emoji used in phones, he conveys his ideas within the frame of the pop art genre. In this exhibition, selected out of the many series, works with speech balloons and mobs (non-main characters), as well as works from the "Japanese Frog" series using emoji motifs, will be presented. Total of around ten small works will be on view and available for purchase.
