Taku Sometani Gallery presents a solo exhibition for Koiichiro Tada. Generally, we think of the world inside the canvas as “unreal” and the world outside it as “real.” But why is it that when we are watching a movie or reading a comic book, we shed tears even though we know that the story within is fiction? Why do we feel distant from the society in which we live? Koichiro Tada believes that reality and unreality continue to be reversed. Through the expression of painting, his works in this exhibition question the state of this world.
