Kinkan Gallery is pleased to present Momoyo Hayakawa "I Like You" from April 16th to May 8th. Momoyo Hayakawa studied painting at Joshibi University of Art and Design, then worked in sales and other occupations before resuming her painting activities in earnest in 2016. Hayakawa draws on the subject matter of familiar objects from her daily life, using pencil and watercolor on paper as if she were diving into and walking slowly through the details. For her, "drawing" is an act like looking carefully at minor matters or things that are overlooked and picking them up. While accepting the current situation where people and things have fewer opportunities to meet face-to-face, she would like to cultivate realistic relationships in a small way with her own approach.
