Finished

Artists

Tove Jansson, Lars Jansson
Tove Jansson (1914-2001) started posting the Moomin comics in the British "Evening News" in 1954. At that time her younger brother, Lars Jansson (1926-2000), was in charge of the English lines of the characters, but he gradually started to create the plot and by 1960s and onward Lars was creating both the plot and the comics alone.
In this exhibition we will put the focus on the Moomin comics, and will display around 280 works such as original pictures, sketches and other, presented for the first time in Japan, with the help of which we will introduce the world of Moomin.
