The first large-scale solo exhibition in Japan by the leading contemporary South Korean artist duo, Moon Kyungwon & Jeon Joonho. Since their formation, the female artists have been presenting the social function and role of art while advocating a practical platform for dialogue and collaboration among experts in various fields.
In this exhibition, they will present a new video installation poetically depicting the struggle of future humans for survival and freedom, "News from Nowhere: Freedom Village," which was shown at the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Korea in 2021, and new work that elaborates on different time frames and their connections before and after the apocalypse. In addition, the exhibition will also introduce their thoughts and activities from multiple perspectives through video, drawings, maquettes, etc., regarding their residency in Kanazawa, which they have been pursuing since 2018.
